Cancellation Policy
I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In my desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:
24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give 24 hours advance notice you will be charged 50% of your appointment fee.
Sick Policy
Cancellations due to illness will adhere to the 24 hour cancellation policy, however, the 50% fee will go towards your rescheduled appointment, if rescheduled within the following 30 days. Appointments scheduled beyond 30 days of the cancelled due to illness appointment will not be considered ‘rescheduled appointments’.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. If the client shows up late within the first 15 minutes of the session, a shortened session will be given and the full amount will be charged; if the client shows up more than 15 minutes late, the session will be terminated and the client will be charged 50% of the fee for the session. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
Payment
I accept cash, check, venmo, and credit card payments. Payment is expected at time of service. A $30 fee will be charged for returned checks. Cash or check is preferred. A rate increase of roughly 10% for base rate (one hour) pricing is reviewed annually. This is an estimate and may change depending upon the course of therapy and the changing needs for your treatment. In the event a refund is given, it will be done less any credit card processing fees.
Scope of Practice
In the event that the needs of the client should surpass my scope of practice, information or referrals will be provided to assist the client accordingly.
Client/Therapist Relationship
These sessions are therapeutic and non-sexual in nature. If the client violates this part of the professional relationship the session will be immediately terminated and the client will not be reimbursed.
Confidentiality/HIPAA
All health and personal information given during a session is confidential; email addresses will automatically be added to the email distribution list [less than 3 emails a month]. Client information will only be shared with a third party if:
-information regarding child abuse has been disclosed
-legally subpoenaed
-the client has given written consent
